then following the A921 to the village. From the North, follow the
M90 to Junction 1 then the A921.
From the west take the A985 from Kincardine Bridge and then the A921.
Alternatively follow the Fife Coastal Tourist Route Not shown on this map is the new motorway link road from the M9/M8 to the Forth Road Bridge, which has made a big difference to the flow of traffic. Visitors from the South and East should just follow the signs to the Forth Road Bridge, but note that there are speed cameras at the end of the M8/beginning of the M9. Note also that bridge tolls have been scrapped. Note also that the Rosyth Zeebrugge ferry no longer operates. |
| For anyone using public transport trains run from Edinburgh at 30 minute intervals during the day and hourly after 1800 hrs (off peak day return £6-30), with the last train at approximately 2305. From the airport the 747 bus goes to Inverkeithing at 20 minute intervals and this links in with the train for the two stations to Aberdour. There is an express bus service, the X57 that serves Aberdour from Edinburgh and this service runs via the Inverkeithing Park-n-Ride, which services buses from the north. 7 and 7A services on the Dunfermline to Leven route also pass through the village - ask for and get off at the Railway Station and follow the map below. |
